Turn long videos into YouTube Shorts with AI
Upload a talk, lesson, vlog or interview. TheMomentra transcribes it, finds the moments that make a complete point on their own and renders each as a vertical 9:16 short with captions.
You see why each moment was chosen, adjust anything you like, and publish to your channel only when you're happy with it.
- Find a meaningful moment
- Make it vertical
- Review the result

What you get
Complete ideas, not random cuts
Moments are chosen for a clear start and a satisfying ending. Clip edges snap to sentence boundaries, and if nothing meets the quality bar you get no forced clips.
Vertical framing that follows the speaker
Follow the speaker with an automatic crop, keep the whole shot on a blurred background, fit the full frame, or set the crop yourself.
Captions that keep up
Word-by-word highlighted captions, or clean, boxed and minimal styles, placed in the upper, centre or lower safe area.
Tighter pacing
Shorten long pauses, cut filler sounds like “um” and “uh”, and add a subtle push-in on alternate cuts so jump cuts look intentional.
Publish straight to YouTube
Connect your channel through Google, set the title, audience and visibility, and upload the reviewed version. Or download the MP4.
From your existing uploads
Connect YouTube to see your latest videos. Download one from YouTube Studio and TheMomentra turns it into Shorts.
How it works
- 01
Bring your original
Upload an MP4 or MOV with clear speech. One primary speaker works best. Your source is stored privately.
- 02
Find complete ideas
We transcribe the spoken language, then analyze the full conversation. Uncertain transcripts pause for your review.
- 03
Make it yours
Review why each moment was chosen. Correct captions, adjust boundaries and choose framing. Nothing is published automatically.
- 04
Download a rendered short or connect YouTube through Google. Review the channel, title, audience and visibility before publishing.
Questions
How long can my video be?
Up to 25 minutes on the Free and Creator plans and up to 60 minutes on Pro, as an MP4 or MOV file.
Can I make Shorts from a video already on my channel?
Yes. Upload the original recording or a copy downloaded from your YouTube Studio. If Import link is available in your upload screen, you can also paste a supported public YouTube link. Only import videos you own or have permission to use; the original file usually gives the best quality.
Can I change a clip after it's made?
Yes. Trim it on a timeline, correct captions, change the framing and caption style, or add a headline and music. Each change renders a new version, and earlier versions stay available.
Will it post anything without me?
No. Every clip waits until you have watched it and confirmed its content, captions, visuals and audio. YouTube uploads start as private, and you choose the channel, audience and visibility each time.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 30 minutes of video a month with no card needed, and your first video has no watermark.
